An academic transcript is a consolidated, official record of the subjects you studied and the marks you were awarded across your programme. For graduates of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), a transcript is usually the single most requested document when applying abroad — for credential evaluation, licensing, further study or employment.
The important thing to understand early is that a transcript only carries weight when it is issued by the university and, in most overseas cases, sent in a sealed envelope (or through an approved electronic channel) directly from the university to the receiving organisation. A photocopy you send yourself is rarely accepted for formal purposes.

Confirm exactly what the receiving body wants
Before anything else, read the requirements of the organisation you are applying to. Getting this right first prevents re-applications.

Gather your academic records
Collect every semester/year marks card and your degree or provisional certificate. Make sure names, registration numbers and dates are consistent across documents — mismatches are the most common cause of delay.

Complete the university's transcript application
Apply through the process the university currently prescribes, with the prescribed application form, identity proof and any evaluator-specific form (for example an ECA reference form). Requirements, forms and fees are set by the university and can change. Always confirm the current process on the official RGUHS website before you apply.

Pay the prescribed fee and keep every receipt
Pay the fee the university specifies for the number of copies and the delivery method you need. Keep the payment reference — you will need it for any follow-up.

Choose the correct delivery method
For most overseas uses the transcript must travel sealed from the university to the evaluator, or be sent electronically through an approved route. Provide the exact recipient name, reference/ID and address the evaluator specifies.

Track and follow up
Note your application/reference number and check status periodically. If a sealed set is being couriered internationally, keep the tracking number so you can confirm delivery to the evaluator.

- Timelines vary: processing time depends on the university's workload and the delivery method. Plan well ahead of any application deadline rather than relying on a fixed number of days.
